The Marine Technology Center of Sweden (MTC) sees this as a milestone for the continued development of Karlskrona and Blekinge as Sweden\u2019s maritime capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karlskrona is already home to world-leading maritime technology \u2013 and now regional cooperation is taking another significant step forward. Through this newly signed agreement between BTH and the Swedish Coast Guard, a joint commitment is established to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, and professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis collaboration between BTH and the Swedish Coast Guard is both long-awaited and strategically important. For the Swedish Coast Guard, the collaboration is a crucial part of preparing for tomorrow\u2019s operational challenges at sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis agreement strengthens the Coast Guard\u2019s position as the \u2018Hub at Sea\u2019 and gives us new opportunities to develop our capabilities in surveillance, environmental protection, and maritime safety,\u201d says <strong>Lena Lindgren Schelin<\/strong>, Director General of the Swedish Coast Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BTH already offers standalone courses tailored for professionals, and the new agreement opens the door for future commissioned education and research collaboration. According to BTH\u2019s President, the meeting between theory and practice is key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn a time of rapid change, collaborations where research and practice meet are essential.
